Mazda's Powerful Turbocharged 7-seater CX-9 is crafted for families big or small and with the updates and refinements in the 2020 models, get ready to take on any adventure!
New features on the 2020 CX-9 includes:

Let's begin with the performance of the 2020 CX-9. Standard on all CX-9 models is the turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5T, which delivers a robust 320 lb-ft of torque on 93 octane gasoline (310 lb-ft torque on 87 octane gasoline) and is rated to deliver up to 250 horsepower on 93 octane gasoline (227 horsepower on 87 octane gasoline). Paired with a quick-shifting, six-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission as well as Mazda's predictive i-Activ all-wheel drive (now standard on all trim levels)! Alongside Mazda's all-new off-road traction assist feature which replaces the traction control button, this feature can potentially help the driver when adventuring on uneven terrain. When the diagonal wheels lose traction, off-road traction assist will stop reducing the engine torque and increases the brake force on the wheels without traction. This transfers power to the wheels still on the ground to help allow the vehicle to regain traction and continue the drive. G-Vectoring Control Plus is also standard for 2020 and further improves the steering response to help the driver and all occupants have a smooth, premium driving experience.
For Canadian customers, the 2020 CX-9 is available in 4 trims - GS, GS-L, GT and Signature. Mazda's engineers and researchers seek to create the perfect vehicle that is not only safe but also encompasses many safety features and small details that will make every drive rewarding. Every detail - from the placement of speakers, the interior materials and upholstery, the human-machine interface cockpit design to the seating design creates a whole new driving experience inside a Mazda.
GS TRIM
The 2020 Mazda CX-9 GS continues to expand its premium value with standard features such as heated front cloth seats, power driver's seat with lumbar support, stunning grey metallic 18" alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, heated outside mirrors, automatic on/off headlights and High Beam Control. The 7" Mazda Connect infotainment, Apple Carplay/Android Auto, LED headlights and taillights, a rearview camera, keyless entry and push-button start along with many other features come standard as well.
Mazda's full suite for i-Activsense safety features are also standard which includes:
- Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go
- Smart City Brake Support with pedestrian detection (forward sensing)
- Smart Brake Support with Collision Warning
- Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist
- Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
GS-L TRIM
Moving up to the GS-L trim adds leather-trimmed seats, heated steering wheel, windshield wipers de-ice, heated second-row seats (outboard positions only), power moonroof, power liftgate with adjustable height and much more, not to mention that the GS-L is the first Mazda vehicle to offer the all-new 9" full colour touchscreen display! The Captain's Chair Package is available for both the GS-L and GT trim and it includes a second-row captain's chair with heated second-row seats and armrests!
GT TRIM
The Mazda CX-9 GT now includes a hands-free, power liftgate, a third-row USB charging port and 360 degree View Monitor. Included is Mazda's Active Driving Display with Traffic Sign Recognition, power-folding door mirrors, adaptive front-lighting system and front and rear parking sensors. Yes, the fancy Captain's Chairs package is available for the GT models!
SIGNATURE TRIM
The flagship of the range offers uncompromising premium features that offer convenience while helping provide a delightful and inspiring atmosphere for all occupants. What's even better? The heated second-row captain's chairs are standard in the signature trim! But that's not it! This version of the captain's chair is enhanced with an elegant center console with extra storage and convenient access to two USB charging ports and cupholders!
