How To Enter
There are two ways to enter. Both entry methods provide the same chance of winning, and there is a limit of one entry per person for the entire Contest Period.
OPTION 1
Complete a Test Drive
- Visit Scarboro Mazda during the Contest Period.
- Complete one dealership-approved test drive of an available new or pre-owned vehicle.
- Complete the Contest entry information requested by an authorized Scarboro Mazda representative.
No purchase, lease, financing application, deposit, trade-in or other vehicle transaction is required.
Important: The test drive must actually be completed. Booking a test drive, submitting an inquiry or simply attending the dealership does not constitute an eligible test-drive entry.

To enter without completing a test drive or making a purchase, clearly print the following information on a plain piece of paper:

Gift cards will be issued by one or more major Canadian fuel retailers selected by Scarboro Mazda. “Fuel Your Year” and “Gas for a Year” refer to the $5,000 CAD prize and do not represent unlimited gasoline or a guarantee that the prize will cover all fuel expenses for any particular period.

Official Contest Rules & Regulations
SCARBORO MAZDA'S FUEL YOUR YEAR GIVEAWAY
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
Scarboro Mazda's Fuel Your Year Giveaway (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by Scarboro Mazda, 2124 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario M1R 3A3 (the “Sponsor”).
The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Mazda Canada Inc., any fuel retailer or any gift-card issuer unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins on October 1, 2026 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on December 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).
Test-drive entries may only be completed during Scarboro Mazda's regular operating hours during the Contest Period.
Mail-in entries are subject to the postmark and receipt deadlines described below.
3. Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of Ontario, Canada who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of the Sponsor, Mazda Canada Inc., the Sponsor's advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to enter.
For purposes of these Rules, immediate family includes a spouse, parent, child or sibling and their respective spouses.
An entrant using the test-drive entry method must possess a valid driver's licence and satisfy Scarboro Mazda's normal test-drive, identification, insurance and safety requirements.
A driver's licence is not required to use the mail-in entry method.
4. How to Enter
There are two methods of entry.
A. TEST-DRIVE ENTRY
During the Contest Period:
- Visit Scarboro Mazda;
- Complete one dealership-approved test drive of an available new or pre-owned vehicle; and
- Complete the Contest entry information requested by an authorized Scarboro Mazda representative.
No purchase, lease, financing application, deposit, trade-in or other vehicle transaction is required.
A qualifying test drive must be actually completed. Merely booking a test drive, attending the dealership or submitting an inquiry does not constitute an eligible test-drive entry.
B. NO-PURCHASE / NO-TEST-DRIVE MAIL-IN ENTRY
To enter without completing a test drive or making a purchase, an eligible entrant must clearly print the following information on a plain piece of paper:
- Full legal name;
- Complete residential mailing address;
- Telephone number;
- Email address;
- Date of birth; and
- The words “Scarboro Mazda's Fuel Your Year Giveaway.”
The entrant must place the entry in a sufficiently stamped envelope and mail it to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2026 and must be received by the Sponsor no later than January 6, 2027.
The Sponsor is not responsible for mail that is lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, insufficiently stamped or otherwise not received by the applicable deadline.
No vehicle purchase or test drive is required to use this method of entry.
5. Entry Limit
There is a limit of one (1) entry per person during the entire Contest Period, regardless of the method of entry used.
An entrant who completes a test-drive entry is not entitled to an additional mail-in entry.
An entrant who submits a mail-in entry is not entitled to an additional entry by subsequently completing a test drive.
Completing multiple test drives, submitting multiple mail-in entries, purchasing or leasing a vehicle, referring another customer or completing any other transaction with the Sponsor will not provide additional entries or increase an entrant's chances of winning.
Entries submitted using multiple identities, addresses, email addresses or other methods intended to circumvent the entry limit may be declared void.
Automated, fraudulent, incomplete, illegible or otherwise unauthorized entries are void.
6. Prize
There is one (1) prize available to be won.
The prize consists of gas gift cards having a total face value of $5,000 CAD.
The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize is $5,000 CAD.
The gift cards will be issued by one or more major Canadian fuel retailers selected by the Sponsor and will be subject to the applicable gift-card issuer's terms and conditions.
The phrases “Fuel Your Year,” “Gas for a Year,” and similar promotional descriptions refer to the $5,000 CAD prize.
The prize does not represent unlimited gasoline or a guarantee that the prize will pay all of the winner's gasoline or other fuel expenses for any particular period of time.
The prize must be accepted as awarded.
The prize is not transferable or assignable and will not be substituted for cash at the winner's request.
If circumstances beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control make the advertised prize or any component of it unavailable, the Sponsor may substitute a prize or prize component of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law.
7. Odds of Winning
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received from both entry methods.
Test-drive entries and eligible mail-in entries will be included together in the same random draw.
Neither method of entry provides a greater chance of winning.
8. Random Draw
On or about January 8, 2027, the Sponsor will conduct a random draw at Scarboro Mazda from among all eligible entries received.
One entrant will be randomly selected as the potential winner.
The selected entrant will be contacted using the telephone number and/or email address associated with the entrant's Contest entry.
9. Skill-Testing Question
Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor.
The selected entrant may be required to answer the question within a specified period of time and without the use of a calculator, computer, mobile device or other assistance.
Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in disqualification.
10. Winner Verification
Before being declared the official winner, the selected entrant must:
- Meet all eligibility requirements contained in these Official Rules;
- Be in compliance with these Official Rules;
- Correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question;
- Provide reasonable proof of identity, age and Ontario residency if requested;
- Complete and sign the Sponsor's Declaration of Eligibility and Release; and
- Return all requested documentation within the period specified by the Sponsor.
The selected entrant is not the winner unless and until the Sponsor has confirmed that all applicable requirements have been satisfied.
11. Contacting the Selected Entrant
The Sponsor will make reasonable attempts to contact the selected entrant using the contact information provided with the entry.
If the selected entrant:
- Cannot be contacted within three (3) business days following the first attempted notification;
- Does not respond within the requested period;
- Cannot be verified as eligible;
- Has violated these Official Rules;
- Incorrectly answers the skill-testing question;
- Declines the prize; or
- Fails to complete and return any required documentation,
the entrant will be disqualified and will forfeit any right to the prize.
The Sponsor may then randomly select another eligible entrant from the remaining eligible entries.
This process may continue until an eligible winner has been confirmed.
12. Awarding the Prize
Following successful winner verification, the Sponsor will arrange for the prize to be provided to the confirmed winner within a reasonable period of time.
The prize may be made available for pickup at Scarboro Mazda or provided to the winner through another reasonable method agreed upon by the Sponsor and winner.
The winner may be required to acknowledge receipt of the prize.
13. Declaration and Release
Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant may be required to execute a Declaration of Eligibility and Release confirming, among other things, that the entrant:
- Meets the Contest eligibility requirements;
- Has complied with these Official Rules;
- Accepts the prize as awarded; and
- Releases the Sponsor and its respective employees, representatives, agents and affiliated parties from claims relating to participation in the Contest or acceptance and use of the prize, except where prohibited by applicable law.
14. Winner Announcement and Publicity
The Sponsor may announce the confirmed winner's first name, last initial and municipality of residence for the purpose of communicating the results of the Contest.
Any use of the winner's photograph, video, testimonial, likeness or other personal information for additional promotional or advertising purposes will be subject to any consent required by applicable law.
15. Personal Information
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used for purposes reasonably related to administering the Contest, including:
- Processing entries;
- Confirming eligibility;
- Preventing duplicate or fraudulent entries;
- Contacting a selected entrant;
- Administering the skill-testing question;
- Awarding the prize;
- Maintaining records relating to the Contest; and
- Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Entry into the Contest does not automatically constitute consent to receive future marketing emails, text messages or other electronic promotional communications from Scarboro Mazda.
Any consent to receive future promotional communications will be requested separately and may be declined without affecting the entrant's eligibility or chances of winning.
16. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to disqualify an entrant where the Sponsor reasonably determines that the entrant:
- Violated these Official Rules;
- Submitted duplicate, fraudulent or falsified entries;
- Attempted to circumvent the entry limit;
- Interfered with the administration or security of the Contest; or
- Engaged in conduct intended to unfairly affect the Contest or another entrant.
The Sponsor is not responsible for entries or communications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, misdirected or not received because of postal problems, communication failures, technical problems or circumstances beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control.
If the Contest cannot be administered as originally intended because of fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention, force majeure or another circumstance beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, the Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest and, where appropriate, award the prize from among eligible entries received before the event giving rise to the modification, suspension or termination.
17. Decisions of the Sponsor
All decisions made by the Sponsor regarding the administration and interpretation of the Contest and these Official Rules are final, subject to applicable law.
18. Governing Law
The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the applicable laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
19. No Purchase Necessary
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
Purchasing or leasing a vehicle, leaving a deposit, submitting a financing application, completing a trade-in appraisal or entering into any other transaction with Scarboro Mazda will not provide an additional entry or improve an entrant's chances of winning.
Eligible entrants may enter without completing a purchase or test drive using the mail-in entry method described in Section 4.
