The Auto Shows have begun in Canada and today at the Montreal International Auto Show media preview, Mazda Canada Inc accepted the award for Best Small Car in Canada for 2020 from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) for the all-new Mazda3! With this award, it makes the Mazda3 eligible to win the overall 2020 Canadian Car of the Year award, which will be presented next month at the Canadian International Auto Show right here in the heart of Toronto!
A little background on AJAC
AJAC is an association of professional journalists, writers and photographers whose focus is the automobile and automotive industry. The majority of their journalists test-drive and report on, new vehicles on an on-going basis in various media across the country.
AJAC members use a detailed rating form comprising various evaluation parameters that include acceleration, braking, vehicle dynamics, maneuverability, even off-road capability where applicable. Every detail, from safety features to cargo capacity is thoroughly scrutinized, discussed and individually rated by secret ballot!
