2022 Mazda CX-30 vs. 2022 Mazda3 Sport : Performance and Reliability

March 30 2022,

2022 Mazda CX-30 vs. 2022 Mazda3 Sport : Performance and Reliability

The Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda3 Sport have a lot in common. They are both very stylish and offer reliable engines and powertrain technologies that provide a better driving experience than any rival in their respective segments. But they also differ in the sense that they have their own set of skills and particularities, catering to different types of drivers and families. The CX-30 is a bit higher, a bit bigger and offers standard AWD, while the Mazda3 is lower and sportier, and offers ultimate efficiency.

Let’s see how these two Mazdas compare.

Performance is key in both vehicles

In terms of engines, the Mazda CX-30 and Mazda3 Sport share similar components. The base engine in both vehicles is a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre unit that boasts 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. Both cars also offer the 2.5-litre Skyactiv engine with 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. Performance enthusiasts will also be pleased with either vehicle, thanks to the available turbocharged 2.5-litre Skyactiv engine, which provides up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of instant torque.

As for the drivetrain, theCX-30 uses the 6-speed automatic transmission in all models, along with standard i-Activ AWD system and G-Vectoring Control Plus for improved cornering performance.

The Mazda3 Sport lets drivers choose between a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual for more control over the gear changes. It can also be delivered in FWD or AWD configurations.

With fuel consumption ratings of 8.7 L/100 km in the city and 6.4 L/100 km on the highway, the Mazda3 Sport uses less resources than the CX-30.

Both vehicles deliver great passenger and cargo space

Both interiors use the finest materials and textures to provide ultimate comfort. The Mazda CX-30 delivers more passenger space than the Mazda3 Sport, but that’s not the case for cargo volume. With the seats up, the Mazda3 offers 569 litres of space. Fold the seats down and get 1,334 litres, which is very impressive. In the CX-30, you’ll get 572 litres when the rear seats are up and 1,280 when they are folded.

The CX-30 starts at $26,100, while the Mazda3 starts at $22,200. Come and see them today! You can also shop for your Mazda online with us, our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
